Vision & Mission

The Brock Foundation, Inc. a 501(C)(3), reactivated in 2021 as Tennis on the Run Academy, to expand tennis and recreation opportunities for youth.
Mission: To develop preventive after school programs for low to moderate income elementary, middle, and high school students using tennis as a vehicle.
Our Goal: to create tennis opportunities for youth in the Greater Cincinnati Area.

The program created in memory of Jack Brock, who was one of the first African Americans born in the village of Glendale, Ohio and whose skill and talent as a basketball & tennis player as well as Coach brought tennis to its diverse community at a time when class and race tended to segregate the town and Greater Cincinnati area. Coach Brock was known as a mentor to many youths in the community. Brock hosted Arthur Ashe in 1969 at Summit Park in Glendale, where the champion tennis professional graciously practiced with local tennis players.

Tennis on the Run Academy In-School and After-School Tennis Program where students are able to participate weekly with help of tennis coaches and volunteers, they receive support and healthy snacks after-school before classes.
Tennis on the Run Academy since 2021 has served upwards of 1500 kids with tennis in our comprehensive tennis programs.
